Trying New Things

Over the last month I have started to meddle in a new literature genre of crime thrillers. I have to admit that I am enjoying them, but I do not think reading them back to back is as enjoyable (don't worry I will give you all the details on the books in a few days).

What I have noticed is that I can no longer read these books at night, especially during the intense moments of the the book, because then I get nightmares (I know such a dork). Even during the day when I read, I sometimes slam the book closed and think "that's enough for now! ::gulp:::".

I know I am a scaredy cat, but I know I will pick up a few more reads like these, after I get through my crazy book pile (seriously there is like 24 books under my nightstand). I am disappointed in myself that it took me so long to open up to different types of genre's. I am not one who easily accept changes, so this was a good first step for me!

What is your favorite genre to read? Is there one you have thought about getting into, but have yet to dive in?

I'm more of a biography type of gal. I could probably get into some crime books though! Can't wait for your reviews.

The books I love are the ones that grab your attention staright from the start :)

I generally read biographies and fiction. Embarassingly, most of the fiction I read is the type of stuff you find at the front of Barnes & Noble - best seller type stuff.

I'd like to hear more about these crime thrillers. Like real crime? I can see how that would be spooky!
