"Oh I Get It"

I am sure that most of you know that I am the worst at getting the punch lines of jokes right away. I think my brain processes things much slower than the average Joe. It is not uncommon to hear me laugh five minutes after a joke is being told and have me say "oh I get it".

Then last night while watching sopranos one of the characters told a joke: "one time my dad and I went hunting, and then we saw a sign that said bear left, so we turned around and went home". I immediately got this joke, and then a few minutes later my husband starting laughing because he got the joke.

He totally pulled a me. My habits are rubbing off on him. :::insert evil cackle here:::

Make a Wish

Watching the Oscar's last night, I was reminded about how much I loved the movie 'Up'. The story line was inspirational, and was such a pure love story...add a cute pup in the mix and you have my recipe for a fabulous movie.

My Monday wish is that every person is every person is able to find their Carl or Ellie, and find their everlasting love.

And that we all are able to take all the adventures we dream of:

Is there anything you are wishing for today?

Slice of Me Sunday

These questions for this weeks Slice of Me come from MannLand5's getting to know you blog hop. Here are my answers to this weeks questions:

1. Are you more of a talker or a listener?
It depends on the situation. I really enjoy listening to people and hearing what they have to say. I also pride myself in remembering things people tell me and will always ask about things later on. I am human though and I do like to talk as well (duh, I would not have a blog if I didn't...haha). There are times that I can become more of a talker and less of a listener and that can be frustrating, luckily I have friends that will tell me to shut it so they can say something.

2. Bra. Underwire or wireless?
Underwire for life. My girls like the lift.

3. I wish I was...?
"A little bit taller, I wish I was a baller..." hahah. No but seriously, I wish I was living in this summer than now because by then my husband and I would have decided where to go to law school and started this journey. Soon enough I know!

4. The Academy Awards are on tonight...will you watch?
Duh of course, I would not miss it if my life depended on it. I am really interested in seeing how Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin are as hosts together. We are hoping Jeremy Renner wins an Academy Award. Got to support the Northern Californians.

5. Do you put your deodorant on before or after you get dress?
I use Secret Clinical deodorant, which always leaves lines, so I usually put it on after I get dresses to avoid getting more streaks.

6. Would you rather do the dishes or clean the toilets?
Clean the toilets for sure. I actually like cleaning toilets, dishes not so much.

7. How much did you weight at birth?
6 pounds 8 oz. I know this because my parents had a ceramic baby shoe made with all my information. Totally cute right?

8. If you could only buy one thing for the Spring/Summer season...what would it be?
A black sundress that I could dress up or down depending on the situation.

Say What? Saturday

When driving to work during the week I have to go on an interchange to get on a different freeway and those lanes end up merging really quick, and then the next couple exit's all end so it is just madness. Madness on California roadways is totally shocking right?

But what is the scariest is that people always decide to use the shoulder lane to drive on and cut into traffic, which always makes me scream out "Say What!?". Not only is it not safe for anyone, it is also illegal, and not the right way to drive. I wish people were caught doing this, but I have not seen it happen yet.

Share your latest "Say What?" Moment below! Happy Saturday!

Fill In The Blank Friday

Fill in the Blank Friday is happening once again over at the little things we do. Here are my answers to this weeks questions:

1. One thing I MUST do before I die is own a beautiful home and raise a beautiful family in it. (p.s. we are not having kids anytime soon, kay thanks.)

2. I would rather sit at home an watch tv than go out and about any day.

3. If I could giver my younger self one piece of advice it would be not to be such a scaredy cat. Life is not as scary as you thought.

4. If I won the lottery tomorrow I'd buy our dream house, two cars, and pay for my husband's law school. I would also donate some to charity and invest the rest for our future.

5. The best surprise ever was when my husband proposed to me.

6. My biggest fault is I lack motivation to do things. I will say I want to do something, but it could take me weeks to get around to actually doing it.

7. My biggest strength is I am extremely devoted to those around me. I would do anything for anyone (minus illegal things, but you know what I mean).

Don't forget to come back tomorrow and link up your 'Say What? Saturday' Post!

Life's a Journey

I'm not one who can accept change easily. In fact I run away from it as fast as I can. Once things are good I try to keep everything to stay status quo. I like routines, I like knowing what to expect. What it all comes down to is that I do not accept change very well because I do not like the reality of the unknown. That is why I get nervous and anxious with anything out of the ordinary. But with that I also know that change in life is a necessary thing to move ahead in life.

With all the changes coming ahead to us with law school, and a potential move I am not feeling scared of these changes, rather I am excited and accepting it with open arms. I am so excited that we are going on this journey together. I thank God everyday for such an amazing husband. I'm ready to get this show on the road! Now only if law schools would be nice and finish sending out acceptance letters so we can make our final decision! Hooray!

And as we move ahead in our journey we will keep what Gandhi said in our heart:
